Want to get a really good fit when dressmaking? Spend a day with Vanessa learning dart manipulation, shoulder adjustments, how to stop gaping necklines and other techniques that ensure a personalised fit.
You will need to bring a ready made toile and the paper pattern that you have used which we will use to analyse the fit, identifying issues. Learn how to transfer your alterations to a paper pattern. Dependant on how you get on during the day there may be time to start cutting out your adjusted pattern 😊

“This was a fantastic course, in the morning we did practical examples of how to move darts and make the pattern fit you better. We had all been asked beforehand to make a toile and in the afternoon Vanessa helped each of us to get a really good fit. After the examples from the morning we were all able to see what needed to happen to each others toile. I came home with a toile that fitted me perfectly, made the alterations to the pattern and made the dress. The course was worth every penny!”
